About Us

BED&BIKEITALIA is a national network born from a passion for slow travel, nature and authentic hospitality. We believe in a different way of exploring the land, where time stretches out, landscapes reveal themselves fully and every stop becomes an opportunity to connect. For us, the bicycle is much more than a means of transport: it is a symbol of freedom, sustainability and a deep connection with the places you ride through.
Our project grew from the idea of celebrating Italy's cultural, scenic and culinary heritage through cycle tourism, a way of travelling increasingly loved by those seeking authentic, environmentally respectful experiences. Cycling lets you see the land with fresh eyes, discover hidden villages, cross natural landscapes and meet the people and traditions that make every journey unique.
Behind BED&BIKEITALIA is a team of professionals, travellers and enthusiasts who share the same vision: promoting responsible tourism that is accessible and built around the cycle tourist. We bring together expertise in hospitality, sustainable mobility, destination marketing and tourism development to build a widespread, modern and environmentally conscious hospitality network.
Our goal is to create a community that brings together bike-friendly accommodation, local businesses and regions, offering travellers not just a place to stay but a complete experience of warm hospitality, dedicated services and routes designed for people who love travelling on two wheels.
Through BED&BIKEITALIA we want to help cycle tourism grow in Italy, showcasing local excellence and promoting a more mindful way of travelling. For us, travelling by bike is not just a type of holiday but a philosophy that puts respect for the environment, personal wellbeing and the authentic discovery of local places at its heart. 🚴♂️🌿
Our mission: pedalling towards a more welcoming, sustainable and authentic Italy.
BED&BIKEITALIA was born from the meeting of two entrepreneurs and friends, Michele and Claudio, who combined their decades of professional experience to bring an innovative project to life in Italy. The result is a start-up whose goal is to offer a concept of hospitality that integrates with local communities and rises to the sustainability challenges facing the entire tourism sector. We aim to provide end users, and the operators who join our network, with a hub of high-value services capable of raising the standard of both hotel and non-hotel accommodation and making stays in our country an Agile, Sustainable and Respectful experience. BED&BIKEITALIA is aimed at all tourism operators who want to become BIKE FRIENDLY and attract guests looking for qualified, superior-quality locations that are well equipped and able to provide integrated services closely tied to sustainable mobility.

Claudio
A graduate in Engineering from Sapienza University, he spent years building kilometres of railway and metro lines across Italy, honing a deep understanding of mobility integrated into urban environments. Over the years he held positions of responsibility directly in the field on behalf of major companies in the construction and transport sectors, and he foresaw well ahead of the curve the growth that non-hotel accommodation could achieve in Italy, beginning to purchase properties to convert to this use. In his properties he brought together his travel experience and his passion for cycling, offering tourists an early glimpse of a new way to visit the Eternal City. He created a brand that has become a recognisable benchmark. Today the sole owner of Bed&BikeRome, with no fewer than 4 properties in the capital, he already has plans under way to open new properties in Rome.

Michele
Active in the real estate sector since 2001, he owns 4 estate agencies operating in Rome and the northern province around Lago di Bracciano. For 24 years he has handled the sale and letting of properties, businesses and business units. A devoted fan of two wheels, he turned his love for the sport into a business venture when, in 2019, he took over Tecnobike, a historic bike shop that was about to close. He relaunched and expanded it, growing it to a team of 5 people. Over the years he has developed and nurtured relationships with operators in the construction sector, creating a network of small investors active in northern Rome and its province. A great lover of nature and outdoor sports, he is committed to social causes and the protection of the local area, and leads an active political life, also serving as a municipal councillor in Anguillara Sabazia, his home town.
